Dog walks and hikes in Vancouver, BC

Vancouver Dog Walks and Hikes

Vancouver is a dog's paradise. In fact, I would venture to say that Vancouver is the best city in the world if you have a dog. There are parks to play in, trails to romp on, and creeks, rivers and the ocean to splash in.

If you're looking for the ultimate dog experience for both you and your dog, check out the creeks, rivers, ocean and trails on the North Shore, including the Ambleside Dog Park which is located on the beach just west of the Lions Gate Bridge.

See our North Shore Dog Hikes page for information about the best dog hikes.

Other cities claim to be dog friendly but that usually means no more than a small dog park and a few places you can take dogs on a leash. Well, in Vancouver's North Shore, just 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver, there are hundreds of miles of beautiful trails and creeks and rivers where you and your dog can play forever.

If you want to stay in Vancouver, however, here is a list of Vancouver's 30 dog friendly parks around the city.
